Here Comes a New Assisted Living Quality Database

Posted On September 28, 2017 In the News

Deciding to put loved ones into an assisted living facility (also known as a residential care facility for the elderly) is one of the hardest decisions a person will ever have to make. Part of what makes this so difficult is that you want to ensure that the facility they go to will be able to meet all their needs. You also want to be assured that your loved ones will be safe at the nursing home you choose…and won’t be abused or neglected.

Right now, it’s tough to find information on assisted living facilities unless you know exactly where to look.

Fortunately for those who are searching for a quality assisted living, a new website is launching in October 2017 that will make the process much easier.

Formation Healthcare Group, an Atlanta-based firm, will be introducing an assisted living quality database that will allow subscribers to access data, such as survey results, complaint investigations, ownership, etc., from nursing homes across the country. According to an article on McKnight’s Senior Living, the site will be similar to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Nursing Home Compare.

Initially, the database will be marketed to (assisted living) operators, real estate investment trusts, lenders, investor groups, and clients that have expressed interest, but it will accessible to anyone who pays the subscription.

We sincerely hope that, should this site take off, they will make it available to the public for free sometime in the near future!
